Canaan Crouch, PG
Managing Principal


Canaan Crouch is an environmental insurance professional with 20 years of experience in the environmental insurance and environmental consulting industries. He holds a Bachelors degree in Geology, an MBA with a concentration in Finance, and is a licensed California Professional Geologist (#8033).

Canaan began his career as an environmental geologist with the IT Corporation (currently Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.), and SECOR Environmental, Inc. (currently Stantec Environmental, Inc.). In these positions he performed fieldwork and managed Phase I, Phase II and remediation projects for manufacturing firms and large oil companies. Next he worked as a project manager for Miller Brooks Environmental, Inc. where he managed the environmental compliance for a number of gas stations, refineries and public utilities.

He joined the insurance industry as an Underwriter for AIG Environmental (NYSE: AIG) focusing on Site Pollution Liability, Contractor’s Pollution Liability (CPL), and Errors & Omissions policies. His clients included a variety of middle market companies, REITs, property holding/investment firms, manufacturing facilities, and pension funds. He joined ACE USA (NYSE: ACE) as a Senior Underwriter and was later elevated to the position of Regional Manager where he oversaw an underwriting team for the western US.

He is currently one of the founding members of Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, LLC, a Wholesale broker focusing on Environmental and Professional Liability Risks.

Nancy Huynh
Managing Principal


Nancy Huynh brings 21 years of insurance experience. Nancy began her career in insurance as an Underwriter for The Hartford, Zurich Environmental, and Chubb Custom focusing on complex casualty and environmental specialty lines. Specialty lines of coverage included environmental casualty, product pollution, contractors’ professional and pollution liability, complex site pollution liability, unsupported excess along with auto and WC. Her environmental underwriting background allowed her to develop and manage existing retail brokerage relationships throughout the Western region.

After 10 years of underwriting, Nancy expanded her insurance experience by joining a national Wholesale brokerage firm assuming the role of Vice President – Environmental Practice Leader. Her responsibilities included running the environmental liability and environmental casualty division, where she negotiated and secured competitive and comprehensive environmental insurance coverage for her Retail broker partners. She handled various brownfield redevelopment and environmental risks with a strong emphasis on risk management and detailed coverage analysis.

She is a founding member of Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, LLC and focuses on tailoring comprehensive insurance coverages (GL/PL/CPL, Auto, & WC) for Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Haulers nationwide. 

Doug Mangus
Managing Principal


Doug Mangus is an environmental professional with 20 years of experience in the environmental insurance, environmental consulting, and resource management industries. Doug began his career as a Peace Corps volunteer, where he served in the Philippines as a Coastal Resource Manager. Through this experience, he gained an invaluable ability to adapt and problem solve under difficult conditions.


Prior to entering the insurance field, Mr. Mangus served as an Environmental Scientist and Project Manager with environmental consulting firms in Southern California. In these positions, he performed fieldwork and managed Phase I, Phase II and remediation projects for regional and Big Oil clients. Through this work, Doug developed the technical ability to quantify and understand complex environmental conditions. His insurance background started with underwriting environmental specialty lines for large national companies. Mr. Mangus then worked for a top 10 brokerage firm focusing on environmental insurance programs from the municipal level to the national level.


He is a founding member of Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, LLC.

Dominic Tapia
Vice President


Dominic Tapia brings valuable insurance knowledge along with strong customer service to Landmark E&S partner retailers. He graduated from the University of Southern California and went on to have a stellar career at Enterprise Truck Rental managing and servicing a range of customers with large auto fleets. 


Dominic joined the insurance industry as a retail broker specializing in manufacturers, contractors, and recyclers. With a strong focus on risk management and form analysis, he was able to grow his book nationwide. 


At Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, Dominic Tapia focuses on tailoring comprehensive insurance coverages (GL/PL/CPL, Auto, & WC) for Hazmat and Non-Hazmat Haulers, Industrial Manufacturers, and Environmental Contractors. He is managing and developing strong relationships with both retailers and carriers within the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Hauler Industry nationwide.  

Terri Bailey
Account Manager


Terri has 28 years’ experience in company underwriting, wholesale and retail broker support positions from major carriers to local retailers in Environmental, Catastrophe (Wind) and Management Liability.  She has held positions including account assistant, account manager, remote desktop/network support, accounts receivable, and underwriting technician.  With one other person, Terri opened a branch office of a small start-up wholesale broker, then managed operations solo for several years.  Currently, she provides support to Landmark partners and production team members.

Gisela Contreras, CIC, CISR Account Manager


Gisela has 21 years of retail commercial Insurance experience. She has specialized working with contractors including a wide variety of exposures in all lines of coverage with extensive knowledge and experience focusing on Business Auto fleets and Workers Compensation. Gisela has attained both designations as a (CIC) Certified Insurance Counselor and (CISR) Certified Insurance Service Representative.  She has been licensed since 1997 and was a commercial Insurance marketing representative for over 15 years handling all aspects of new and renewal commercial business including small business underwriting, as well as rating online with all major carrier platforms.

Gisela is currently an account manager at Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, LLC focused on servicing clients in the recycling industry.  She is managing and building a strong relationship with clients in the Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Waste Hauler Industry nationwide.  

David Mak
Senior Underwriter


David has over 18 years of environmental risk analysis while underwriting environmental product lines for both AIG and ACE Environmental.  He is an expert in understanding the current issues driving the environmental market place today. Moreover, he has the technical ability to engineer site-specific pollution liability, and working knowledge of engineering and contracting operations.  Prior to working in environmental insurance, Dave was a project geologist for an environmental consulting firm working on remediation projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jackie Templin, CPCU


Jackie has been a licensed insurance professional for 28 years in three different States- AZ, WA, and CA. Her background includes a variety of industry experience; including, teaching the California 52 hours of pre-licensing education for AD Banker, Commercial Underwriting as an MGA for Petroleum Marketers on Kemper paper,  Independent Agent Broker to the High Net Worth of Southern California, Claims Resolutions for Travelers,  Personal Underwriting for QBE, Personal Lines Agent both Captive and Independent.  She completed her CPCU designation in 2013 and attended the National CPCU convention in New Orleans. She obtained her BA Degree from the University of Arizona.

Tanya DeNorch
Underwriter Assistant


Tanya has over 20 years of insurance experience and knowledge. Specializing in Commercial Insurance products. Tanya obtained her license in 2001. She has worked in the industry in a variety of different capacities; from Account Management, Production, Underwriting and Agency Management.  She’s worked in both Retail and Wholesale agencies and has several years of experience in the E&S market and Surplus Lines business.  

Kay Crouch
Surplus Lines & Licensing Coordinator


Kay specializes in the filing and payment of Surplus Lines taxes and maintains record keeping and renewal of all individual and company licenses in all 50 states. After graduating from the University of Southern California, she worked in marketing for the largest talent agency, in the broker-dealer industry, and in account services for a boutique advertising agency. She brings years of experience in client management to her current work in insurance.

Charity Koehler, CISR
Account Manager


Charity has 25 years of commercial Insurance experience and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from California State University in Fullerton. She has worked with a wide variety of commercial industries including recyclers, contractors, wholesalers, truckers and manufacturers. Charity has extensive experience with Business Auto fleets and Workers Compensation and has a designation as a (CISR) Certified Insurance Service Representative.  She has been licensed since 1997 and was a commercial Insurance marketing representative for 15 years handling all aspects of new and renewal commercial business including small to middle market sized business.

Charity is currently an account manager at Landmark E&S Insurance Brokers, LLC providing support to Landmark production team members.
